When we first met Read and the team at Texas Air Drone over a year ago, we were looking for a better way to manage brush control on our ranch in northeastern New Mexico—specifically mesquite control. We wanted a targeted approach that would allow us to avoid desirable trees while treating only the areas that needed attention. It was also important to find a solution that was precise enough to support a long-term management strategy and help us plan our budget over multiple years.
The Texas Air Drone team came to our ranch and used their drone technology to map the property in detail. That mapping allowed us to develop a strategic, pasture-by-pasture plan for mesquite control. The precision of the drone application not only reduced our treatment costs by targeting only the necessary areas, but it also gave us a clear roadmap for future treatments and an effective way to evaluate the results.
The results exceeded our expectations. In the first year, we achieved approximately a 95% kill rate on the mesquite that was treated. Based on those results, we expanded the program to several additional pastures this year, and we're seeing the same level of success.
This was a new approach for our family, and partnering with Texas Air Drone has been a great experience from start to finish. Their professionalism, expertise, and precision have made a significant difference in how we manage brush on our ranch. Where I live, in farm country, drone business is taking-off figuratively and literally! As well as in Agricultural and in so many other applications, Real Estate being another for exceptional views of properties, the various uses of drone applications are virtually unlimited. The sky is no longer the limit. Tex-Air Drone is headed by Read Barnhill, a friend of mine for the better part of the past 40 years. Read is a man of integrity and good principles whose business reflects this. Jammy and Donna with Tex-Air Drone did a great job spraying our hayfield with their drones. Very professional, efficient. and delivered exactly what they promised. The coverage was spot-on. They took special care surveying the property lines to ensure that there was no harm done to neighboring properties and nearby water sources. Jammy and Donna are so friendly and accomodating. We will be using their services again to maintain our property.

I have not used their services because I am a city boy but I have known Read for 30 years and I guarantee you will not find a more honest hard working guy. I was in the welding supply business for 60 years innDallas and first met him when he was a youngster. If you need these services then give Read and staff a shot.

FAA Part 137 (Agricultural Aircraft Operations)

Tex-Air Drone is fully authorized to operate as an Air Operator and conduct Commercial Agricultural Aircraft Operations using Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS), including the legal dispensing of economic poisons.

Tex-Air has met the requirements of the Federal Aviation Administration Act of 1958, as amended, and the rules, regulations, and standards prescribed therein, for the issuance of this certificate and is authorized to operate as an Air Operator and conduct Commercial Agricultural Aircraft Operations Unmanned Aircraft Systems in accordance with said Act and its rules, regulations, and standards; Dispensing of Economic Poisons Allowed. This certificate is not transferable and, unless canceled, suspended, superseded, surrendered or revoked, shall continue in effect: Indefinitely.

FAA Part 107 (Remote Pilot Certification)

Tex-Air Drone pilots are fully qualified to exercise the privileges of Remote Pilot Certification.

USDOT Compliance

Tex-Air Drone maintains full compliance with all U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT) commercial driver’s license requirements.

State Agricultural Licenses (TDA, ODAFF, NMDA)

Tex-Air Drone maintains a current Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) Commercial Pesticide Applicator License, along with reciprocal licensing for Oklahoma (ODAFF) and New Mexico (NMDA).
